Job Description:
This contractor role will assist the Global Events team to deliver advisory event services and to support the planning and execution of some divisional events.
This role may be extended for an additional 6 months (or more) if job performance meets/exceeds expectations.
Qualifications:
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):
Minimum 5 years related work experience with strong project management, large-scale event planning and production, and client experience preferred
This individual is a strong communicator who is detail oriented, highly organized and excels in fast-paced environments with changing deadlines and priorities.
This position will be based in Atlanta and may require travel (up to 25%) throughout the assignment.
Demonstrates ability to address complex issues in a clear, thoughtful manner and comes to a resolution quickly without jeopardizing the event
Works collaboratively and be a consensus builder in a complex environment
Demonstrates ability to interact and work with all levels of the organization and across functions
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple complex projects to completion
Proficiency on use of Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc. design programs a plus

High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, business administration, communications, or 5+ years of relevant corporate work experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Advisory services - Work with divisions across Client and provide event guidance related to Event strategy planning, Budgeting/cost guidance, Venue guidance, Registration, Logistics & Transportation, Hotel logistics, Food & beverage, Attendee experience & engagement, Audio/visual, Production, Thoughtful integration of Client's brand, Executive briefings, Onsite execution and staffing, and Evaluation
Partner with Supply Chain Management to ensure event planners understand processes for vendor management and sourcing
Manage the Client's Global Events calendar: updating it to reflect all customer and employee events in a regular timely manner, sharing cross divisionally and with executives to ensure all leaders have visibility to events far in advance
Support select Divisional Events with pre-event planning, on-site execution, post-event reconciliation and any other administrative support (e.g. briefings, collateral management, communications, giveaways, etc.)
